Comprar livros sem dinheiro: é possível, sim!
Comprar livros sem dinheiro parece impossível, certo? Bom, na teoria é mesmo. Mas na prática isso muda com a iniciativa 1010 Ways To Buy Without Money (ou 1010 Maneiras de Comprar Sem Dinheiro). A ideia surgiu a partir do Dia Internacional do Livro, comemorado no dia 23 de abril. Na Europa e por todo o mundo, a data costuma ser celebrada com ofertas em livrarias. Mas há três anos, na Catalunha, deu-se um passo adiante para promover a leitura e dar valor ao livro de uma maneira não tão quantitativa.

For centuries, books have housed the collective knowledge of the world and formed the foundations of educational institutions. Given that these objects contain such value, it only makes sense that throughout history people have constructed beautiful buildings to house them.

I had a George Mcfly moment today: my first book arrived. I was happier with it than I ever imagined - and after two years work, that was something of a relief. Jonathan Cape have made it look beautiful - the embossed casing and spine look so great. The quote on the back from Raymond Briggs, whose Ethel and Ernest was a big influence on me first getting into comics, is the best bit though.YAAAAAAYYY!!! I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy now…….
